Introducing ourselves:

Active Sefton are responsible for delivering a portfolio of numerous Health, Sport and Physical activity programmes working with a wide range of partners and contributing to key council priorities including Health & Wellbeing and Working for Our Communities Every Day.

Job requirements:

Active Sefton are looking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join their team.

The Development Officer will be responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive NHS health check programme.

The role will involve delivery of NHS health checks in various settings, including in the community and workplaces. It will also be responsible for the administration of programme, including maintaining patient records and working on various IT programmes to ensure accurate record keeping. Responsibility for maintaining equipment will be key, including ensuring it complies with operational requirements.

It will also liaise with GP surgeries to establish link and signpost patients to further support, as well as targeting workplaces to offer CVD checks to groups less likely to access health checks, such as men, manual workers, shift workers and unpaid carers.

The role will use established links with a range of local employers, workplace NHS Health Checks would be offered on-site at workplaces, forming part of a holistic lifestyle & wellbeing offer linked into the integrated wellness service-Living Well Sefton (LWS), which includes lifestyle services such as smoking cessation and weight management, as well as pathways into financial, social isolation, carers and wellbeing support.

NB: These posts are registered as exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and in accordance with the police act; any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced criminal record disclosure.
