Technical and Quality Services Officer
In this role, you will oversee the data relating to the waste stream, maintaining relationships with external suppliers for accurate recycled waste reporting and other similar service areas.
Your primary objective will be to optimise waste management processes, analyse waste data, and support other initiatives with data-driven insights.
Accurate information is crucial for maintaining and managing financial implications, such as tonnage used and correct billing.
Each month, you will produce detailed reports on our waste achievements, providing a comprehensive overview of our performance.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the Finance, Waste, and Data teams, to ensure a high level of service.
Collaboration and communication are key aspects of this position. Your analytical skills will help identify trends and opportunities for improvement, driving process enhancements.
You will also assist in developing and implementing waste reduction strategies, monitor the performance of waste management programs, and provide timely, accurate information to support decision-making.

Responsibilities
Create trackers to assist in the planning and chasing of outstanding works with suppliers
Produce and sending of reports for waste suppliers and customers to ensure adherence of contracted SLA’s
Utilise existing databases to set-up disposal routes, average weights and waste streams for waste management
Engage with procurement to execute supplier set ups and deactivations in the database
Chase any suppliers on a reactive basis for any anomalies or missing data on the self-service portal
Engage with our finance department and wider sustainability team on a regular basis
Assist finance and the wider team running reports towards month end for billing purposes
About You
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
Experienced in using Microsoft Excel up to intermediate level (V-lookups, formulas and pivot tables,) and other Microsoft applications
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good communication skills
Good multi- tasking skills and time management
Analytical and methodical in approach
Knowledge/experience of using Webaspx and MapInfo
