1 to 1 SEND Teaching Assistant
A vacancy has arisen at Northway Community Primary School for a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil who has moved from Reception into Y1. The pupil has complex learning needs and requires support to access the curriculum. The person will be required to support targeted work linked to the pupil’s SEND learning plan.
The position is for as soon as the suitable candidate is available and is based on the funding for the pupil.
The Governors of Northway Primary School would like to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant who is:
- Committed to ensuring children achieve their full potential in acquiring the essential skills needed in Reading, Writing and Maths

- Experienced in supporting pupils who have special needs, in particular pupils with social and communication needs
- Experienced in supporting the review of learning plan targets.

The post is for 27.5 hours. The working hours are Monday – Friday (9am-3pm) with a half hour lunch. The position is term time only and the salary will be pro-rata.
