The Role:
- Liverpool City Council has high aspirations for the city’s economic growth and regeneration over the next 10+ years, bringing forward place-based commercial and residential development in the city centre and neighbourhood areas
- We are recruiting for a new Head of Regeneration to join the Regeneration Senior Management Team. This exciting new role will lead a team of professionals, working closely with a variety of stakeholders, to design and implement a wide variety of regeneration projects that will have a significant impact on the social, economic and environmental well-being of our communities
- Taking forward the priorities of the Strategic Futures Panel and working with our new Regeneration & Investment Proposition, this role will be pivotal in developing future pipeline opportunities as well as leading a variety of in-flight projects
- We’re looking for a collaborative, inspirational property professional with a broad experience of bringing forward regeneration and development projects, and the credibility, confidence, and skills to develop place-based strategies and bring them to delivery, using best practice project leadership.
- The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, with excellent relationship management skills, wide-ranging experience and a clear track record of managing complex, high value projects with multiple or diverse stakeholders. You will have extensive experience of creating holistic, place-based solutions, balancing high quality design, commercial principles and inclusive impact
- You may not have previously worked in the public sector and we welcome applications from a variety of backgrounds, however, you will have experience of working with large and complex organisations and be confident in managing political, social and commercial project sensitivities. You will champion personal and professional growth, alongside the health and wellbeing of your team, ensuring an inclusive, empowering approach to constantly improve and achieve the best outcomes.
- You will be resilient, comfortable with scrutiny, change, complexity and uncertainty and will be able to navigate and manage different stakeholder needs and multiple demands in a fast-paced environment. You will demonstrate a commitment and enthusiasm to making a difference for residents and you will role model our values and be an ambassador for the Council
