Employment Advocate
This contract is fixed term until 30 September 2025, there may be a possibility for extention which is subject to funding.
Please note that there are multiple positions available for this role, with options to work throughout either Wirral or Halton areas.
About the role:
Households into Work is a unique and innovative programme of support for people living across the Liverpool City Region, who because of their circumstances have difficulty finding and sustaining employment.
As a member of the Combined Authority’s Households into Work team you will support workless households by co-designing, coordinating and delivering bespoke support packages which will enable clients to prepare for and sustain employment and/or achieve other positive progression outcomes.
Your base will be our No 1 Mann Island office, but due to the nature of the position you will work within either the wider Wirral or Halton areas. Moreover, the organisation reserves the right to ask staff to cover any other Local Authority area within the Liverpool City Region should business need arise.

About the person
We are looking for a dedicated professional with a track record of providing information, advice and guidance, to support people with a range of complex barriers into employment.
You will have experience of identifying support needs with clients and signposting or referring to specialist agencies where appropriate and skilled in working collaboratively with external partners.
You will have experience of helping people overcome diverse and often complex issues which are preventing them from securing or even considering employment.
An organised and motivated professional with an ability to manage their own workload would also be ideal for this extremely rewarding role.
