Newfield School, Edge Lane, Thornton L23 4TG supports Primary & Secondary pupils across Sefton who have a primary diagnosis of SEMH.
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic Learning Mentors (both sites) with relevant experience to provide complementary service to teachers and support staff in school. We are looking for someone who can work on their own intiative to provide interventions for our pupils to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside school in order to achieve their full potential. A key part of the role is to build positive relationships with both pupils and parents. This is a very exciting role for the successful candidate to build on and join our teams in Birkdale and Thornton. Full training in Team Teach positive behavioural management techniques will be given; this is an essential requirement.
Start dates for posts are 1 January 2025 and are subject to suitable references and DBS clearance.
Drivers licence essential to the role.
Due to the nature of work the above posts are exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation. Appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the DBS service.
