Communications Officer
Employer: Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council
Location: Working from Home/remote Magdalen House (agile)
Full time (36 hours) – Fixed Term
We’re looking for a creative communications professional to help us tell the story of our organisation.
Following the tragic incident in Southport over the summer we need some extra resource, and this role will provide support right across the team.
To succeed, you will have previous experience in a communications environment and be flexible, switching from campaign marketing to reputational management, shooting video, or working with the media.
If internal communications is your thing, there is an opportunity to take a lead on the work we are doing to improve the way we keep our colleagues informed.
In return you will benefit from working in a fast-paced, challenging environment and be part of a fun, hardworking and extremely ambitious team. You will be surrounded by likeminded people who can support, advise and help you develop further in your career.
If you’re interested in this role, please make sure you apply.
Equal Opportunities
Sefton Council strives to ensure that our workforce is inclusive and representative of our communities. A diverse workforce is important to us, our staff bring with them a wide range of experiences, views, ideas, and innovations, and we are committed to providing an environment that recognises, respects, and values everybody’s identity, where individual differences are strengths and where everyone can thrive and maximise their potential. We are always open to learning and growing as an organisation, and we welcome new ideas and initiatives that promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
We are an Equal Opportunities Employer; all candidates will receive equal treatment. Our decision to appoint will be based upon whether an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and abilities make them the most suitable candidate for the role.
