As part of our drive towards a new Target Operating Model for procurement across the Authority we have introduced a new team that will be responsible for procurement related policy and also enabling procurement and contract performance. The role will lead this exciting new team so this is a real opportunity for somebody to join us and put their own ideas into how this team develops moving forward.
Whilst experience of working in a policy or performance related role would be great, above all else we are looking for high quality individuals with a desire to make a difference.
What will I be doing?
- As the Senior Policy and Performance Manager you will be authorising and communicating all procurement related policy updates, assessing their impact to senior management, members and key stakeholders
- In the role of Senior Policy and Performance Manager you will ensure policies align with legal and regulatory requirements
- As part of the role, the Senior Policy and Performance Manager will be owning and driving a programme of improvement in procurement processes and practices through changes to policy, performance management and systems/technology
- Senior Policy and Performance Manager are responsible for embedding and championing best procurement practices including Sustainable & Ethical Procurement and Social Value
- Senior Policy and Performance Manager will be developing and implementing performance measurement frameworks to evaluate procurement and contract management effectiveness
