The Role:

  • In the role of a Service Delivery Manager, you will be in control of the SEN Transport and Social Care Transport Operation, including a team of 7 officers and a Principal officer. The role reports directly to the Head of Passenger Transport and Fleet
  • As a Service Delivery Manager, you will work on schedules and processes to ensure service users safe and efficient carriage as well as liaising with contractors, service users, parents and carers, schools, daycentres and parent forums regarding service delivery
  • Other management responsibilities can include ensuring all controls are in place regarding safe transport such as risk assessments and relevant equipment such as harnesses and child seats in use if appropriate along with undertaking investigatory or disciplinary hearings and grievances
  • As a member of the SEN and Social Care Transport team, you must comply with current legislation and policies; ensuring staff and contractors meet required safeguarding and DBS requirements as well as monitoring and updating KPIs and financial information
  • The Service Delivery Manager will work closely with stakeholders, including other departments, Parent & Carer forums, Transformation team and respond to complaints, appeals, freedom of information or SAR requests related to the department and will ensure invoices and spend is accurately controlled and reported
