Our Team:
Are you passionate about Children’s Social Care and have a technical background with experience in supporting ICT projects and workstreams? Halton Council ICT Services is seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join our team. You will provide support for ICT projects within Children’s Social Care and assist in implementing the broader Improvement Plan.
We are looking for someone with technical expertise to support the Eclipse Case Management solution and facilitate the implementation of upcoming technological changes in Children’s Services. You will help deliver best practice solutions and contribute to future system design in line with ongoing changes.
The ideal candidate will bring vision, energy, determination, and a passion for delivering high-quality services. Strong time management and communication skills are essential, along with a commitment to continuous professional development.
Contract duration - 24 months.
Secondment opportunity for internal candidates. Please note that written confirmation from the Operational Director of your current team is required to confirm that you wil be able to return to your substantive (current) post at the end of the contract period and to confirm acceptance of secondment.
Your Contributions:
Training Delivery: Ensure local readiness for the deployment of Eclipse and related new systems. Assist with user rollout and ensure targets are achieved within specified timeframes.
Data Monitoring: Generate detailed progress reports highlighting key metrics and trends. These reports should provide insights into data quality, user activity, and recurring issues.
Helpdesk Support: Coordinate the helpdesk team’s activities to ensure efficient handling of user inquiries and issues.
Eclipse Development: Assist in the development and enhancement of system changes.
System Administration: Support aspects of system setup and assist in testing new modules, software releases, upgrades, and bug fixes.
This role requires an understanding of practices and system processes related to children and young people. You should be able to work independently, using your initiative to complete tasks without constant supervision. Efficiently plan and organise your work schedule to meet deadlines and objectives
