Client Driver/Attendant
We have an exciting new opportunity to recruit a Client Driver/Attendant into our Passenger Transport Team at Halton Borough Council.
We are looking for employees that display the qualities to enhance an existing professional and well established transport service.
The role will primarily be responsible for transporting vulnerable adults and special educational needs children from their homes to various educational establishments and settings within and outside of the borough of Halton.
The service operates from Monday to Friday and the area of work is split to a morning and afternoon shift between 7am – 11am and 2pm – 5pm. Applications will be considered on a job share basis.
We have opportunities for working 28 hours per week in which the work timescale will be between the start and finish times identified. (Please specify which position you would like to be considered for during the application process)
The position will require school term time working and annual leave will not be authorised during the Monday – Friday term time working.
Key Requirements:
- A full driving licence will be required, preferably with a D1 category. (Training may be provided to achieve the licence category)
- Level 2 in Numeracy & Literacy or equivalent
- Compliance with all road safety regulations
- Mobility to assist vulnerable adults and SEN children with their transport requirements
Full training will be provided for successful applicants.
