A bit about us: 

Adoption in Merseyside (AIM) is a regional adoption agency that covers four local authorities – Liverpool, Serfton, Knowsley and Wirral. 

AiM provides a full adoption service and is dedicated to finding loving, stable homes for Merseyside’s children and providing first class support to our adopters. 

AiM comprehensive service includes full support from experienced adoption social workers and specialist support workers who deliver a wide range of general advice and information to direct work with children and young people including full adoption assessments, as well as training for parents and group work, including support meetings.

The Role: 

  • We are looking for an exceptional experienced senior manager to provide strategic and effective visible leadership and guidance to Adoption in Merseyside (AiM), having a strong background in Adoption 
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the operational management of services that are both delivered and commissioned by the Merseyside Regional Adoption Agency 
  • Take full lead responsibility that each of the local authorities, fulfils it’s statutory, regulatory and national minimum standards through AiM
  • Strategic responsibility in the continual pro-active development of services, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery, in line with AiM’s vision and values
  • Lead responsibility for inclusively line-managing the performance of all the management team, ensuring effective engagement, participation and continuous professional development
  • You will have the drive and passion to deliver excellent services and continuously improve practice quality and standards, to ensure a positive difference and brighter future for our children and young people and their adopters
