About the Role
This is a chance to join a talented team to deliver Bus Franchising for the Liverpool City Region as a key foundation for our ambition to have a modern, integrated and publicly controlled public transport system.
Bus franchising will give the city region greater control over all aspects of the bus offer including fares, routes and timetables and allow services to be better integrated with the wider transport system.
As a proactive and collaborative member of the Franchising Team reporting to the Network Lead, the Network Development Officer will both support and lead stakeholder engagement within the Combined Authority and with external stakeholders.
The role will assist in the design and implementation of the franchised bus network, which is safe, affordable and accessible and in line with the LCRCA’s values and economic, environmental and social impact goals. The role will support the network planning strategies as well as the specifying and commissioning of the network element of the franchising process.
About the person
Do you have a positive attitude and are flexible and responsive to problem solving?
You should have experience of working within the public transport sector, as well as having a strong customer focus and track record of developing relationships with stakeholders at a senior level
It is essential that you have experience of designing and working with public transport networks, being able to manage and interpret data to provide recommendations as well as presenting and advising stakeholders, both internally and externally.
