Establishment Control Officer

About the Role As an Establishment Control Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the council’s staffing establishment, ensuring that organisational structures are accurately managed and updated and systems are maintained. Working closely with senior officers, recruiting teams, and operational managers, you will provide essential support to maintain and improve the council’s staffing framework.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing staffing structure change requests with precision.
- Ensuring all establishment control records are accurately logged and maintained.
- Supporting operational managers with staffing reports and updates.
- Assisting the recruitment team in maintaining the ATS system and publishing vacancies.
- Overseeing approval steps for agency staff.
- Conducting assurance checks and ensuring compliance with key performance standards.
- Upholding DPA/GDPR legislation and confidentiality in all data-related processes.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong eye for detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience working with staffing structures
- An understanding of working with complex technical systems (for example the HR and Payroll system iTrent).
- Knowledge of HR processes and statutory compliance.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process enhancement.
