Clerical Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the financial assessment team in Adult Social Care.

The team carries out financial assessments and income maximization to Adult Social Care service users. The main role of the Clerical Assistant is to:

Provide administrative support to our busy Financial Assessment Team including liaising with clients and their financial representatives.

Processing incoming and outgoing post and emails ensuring data protection is maintained at all times.

Respond to telephone queries from service users on matters relating to individual charges. 

Excellent organisational skills and an ability to plan and prioritise work are an essential requirement of this post.  The successful applicant will have experience of working with Microsoft Office products, and an ability to learn new IT systems.  We are looking for an applicant who has excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to good customer care as you will be dealing with customers and liaising with partner agencies.   

You must have experience of delivering a customer focused service and be able to communicate with vulnerable adults, as well as building partnerships with internal and external agencies.   

We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, can demonstrate a flexible and positive attitude and an ability to work from their own initiative.

The post will be office based at Magdalen House.
