We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to provide support for pupils across EYFS and KS1. Applicants should hold an appropriate qualification or be able to demonstrate relevant skills and experience.

This postion is for 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.15pm, term-time including INSET.  Please note that, due to the nature of the funding attached to this role, the position is temporary and will run until 31 August 2026, or earlier should SEN funding cease.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our dynamic and friendly team of teachers and classroom-based support staff to ensure the delivery of the highest standards of education. Being enthusiastic and responsive to new ideas is seen as essential to this appointment.

We are a non-selective school for pupils aged 3 – 11. Children come to our school from a range of backgrounds and with a wide range of abilities. We balance traditional values with leading edge teaching and learning techniques as our children work towards various independent school entrance examinations in addition to national tests. Working at Holy Spirit is demanding but extremely rewarding, not least due to the strong work ethic and community ethos of the school.

We are in a position to offer you:

  • children who are engaged and ready to learn
  • a supportive school staff community
  • support of experienced professionals from St Joseph CMAT Central Team
  • opportunities for high quality professional development

This is an excellent opportunity that will prove extremely rewarding for the right candidate with the desire to work in a school that is Good in all areas ‘Pupils relish their time at this dynamic school’ – Ofsted 2024

St Joseph CMAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. Where the post is engaged in regulated activity, and/or an opportunity for contact with children the position will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. In addition, as part of the shortlisting process, and in accordance with statutory guidance, we may carry out an online search (for publicly available material) to help identify any incidents or issues that have happened which we may want to explore with shortlisted applicants at interview.
