The Role: 

We have two roles within our Finance Team as follows;  

Finance Manager - Housing & Homelessness

Finance Manager - Central Services

  • As Finance Manager you will be responsible for reporting, providing high-quality technical financial advice, guidance and support to senior management and for supporting the Finance team in all financial management
  • In the role of Finance Manager you will enable effective decision-making by ensuring financial resources are used efficiently, risks are managed effectively, and financial goals are achieved
  • As a Finance Manager you will be a member of a recognised professional accountancy body (CCAB/CIMA) or have suitable qualifying experience and be prepared to become a CCAB/CIMA qualified accountant   
  • In the role of Finance Manager you will conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis and provide insightful financial advice and challenge to housing managers and service leads to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation
  • The role of Finance Manager will monitor and analyse financial performance, produce clear, concise and timely reporting to senior leadership and elected members
  • As a Finance Manager you will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to operational teams, influencing service design and delivery with sound financial analysis and providing financial expertise and guidance in relation to budgeting, financial planning, and performance management
  • As a Finance Manager you will support the development of robust financial strategies and business cases, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives
  • You will drive efficiency, innovation, and financial resilience across housing and homelessness services through data-led insight
  • The role of Finance Manager will Identify areas of financial risk and assist in developing mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relevant financial regulations, policies, and housing-specific statutory requirements
  • As a Finance Manager you will collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations, including budget monitoring, forecasting, and month-end processes
  • In the role of Finance Manager you will contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and reporting tools
