Knowsley School Attendance Service is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed School Attendance Support Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated; successful and growing School Attendance Service Team and to assist in the delivery of Knowsley’s Attendance Strategy.
The duties of the post will include providing support for schools, young people and their families. By delivering early intervention and effective strategies, to identified pupils whose attendance is becoming a cause for concern, the aim is to ensure a quick ‘turn around’ and achieve improved and sustained school attendance.
We are looking for candidates with a commitment to education; experience of working with children, young people and families. You will also require knowledge of current legislation and local, policies and procedures in relation to school attendance and Child Protection.
To work within the School Attendance Service with the administration of Penalty Notice, involving speaking to parents and schools,
