Are you experienced within therapeutic interventions/models and working alongside multi-agency partners in response to contextual safeguarding risk of exploitation. Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children and their families in the face of complex challenges? Can you bring about change in a collaborative way? An exciting opportunity of Shield Team Manager post has become available due to the previous manager being promoted. Shield is an established child exploitation and missing service with ten years of proven impact in reducing missing and exploitation risk. Shield intervention is based upon a trusted relationship approach, utilising various trauma informed models of practice. Due to the successful outcomes demonstrated the team is now expanding with exciting developments in relation to supporting parents, harmful sexual behaviours, transitional support for care experienced, and incorporating lived experience.
This role will also directly be responsible for the line management of range of staff from assistant team manager through to child exploitation workers. The role will also have oversight of our commissioned interventions within the team.
This role will require you to work with colleagues from across the partnership to ensure our safeguarding intervention response to various forms of harm is delivered to a high standard. A key aspect of the role is working in partnership with the police and other agencies to identify and respond to threats and risks in the community. This includes supporting intelligence gathering, mapping activity, and attending multi-agency forums to ensure timely action and joined-up working.
Previous experience of working within specialist therapeutic services and working in multi-agency teams, managing projects or people, including partnerships and using data intelligently to improve the way things are done will be an advantage.
