Investment and Internationalisation Manager – Digital and Creative
About the Role
This is a high-profile opportunity to lead the attraction of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into one of the Liverpool City Region’s most dynamic and high-growth sectors — Digital and Creative. This role is central to delivering a key pillar of the Combined Authority’s Corporate Plan 2024–2028, which aims to make our region the best place to grow up, grow a family, and grow a business — where no one is left behind.
You will lead the promotion of the Liverpool City Region’s for the region’s Digital and Creative clusters, working with national and international partners to position the Liverpool City Region as a globally competitive destination for investment. This includes working with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), the Office for Investment (OFI), private business and local stakeholders across the public sector, industry and academia.
As the key representative of Liverpool City Region, you will represent Liverpool City Region internationally, and will have the vision, influencing skills and ability to build trusted relationships across sectors and borders.
About the Person
We’re looking for a professional, self-motivated team player with outstanding interpersonal and business development skills. You’ll be confident in representing the region, building partnerships, and influencing decision-makers at all levels.
You will have:
- - Recent business development experience, ideally within Digital & Creative sectors
- - Strong knowledge of the Liverpool City Region’s business landscape
- - Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- - Proven ability to build partnerships, manage relationships and influence across public and private sectors
- - A good understanding of business investment and public sector decision-making
- - Knowledge of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and what influences investment decisions
