The Role:

We currently have two roles available for experienced Fostering social workers – one in Fostering Supervision and Support and the other in Fostering Mainstream Recruitment and Assessment, please indicate on your application which role you are applying for.

Fostering Supervision and Support role :

  • As an experienced Children’s Social Worker, you will have a strong career background within children and families and have sound knowledge within Safeguarding and Fostering, as well as having comprehensive understanding of all fostering regulations and legislation statutory guidance and processes
  • You will manage a diverse, complex and varied caseload always being child centered in your approach, delivering excellent services and improving outcomes
  • You will bring your knowledge and expertise to the role to work in order to make effective decisions and advise, supervise and support our foster carers in ensuring we offer the best stable placements for our children and young people

Mainstream Recruitment Assessment role :

  • You will have key experience in undertake robust assessments of prospective foster carers using relevant frameworks (e.g. Form F). You will have the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • You will have excellent communication skills and be able to confidently produce clear, analytical, and evidence-based reports that meet statutory and local authority standards, presenting to fostering panels with clarity and confidence
  • You will be experienced to guide applicants through the approval process with empathy and professionalism, with a strong commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and inclusive recruitment

The posts are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and up to date registration with Social Work England as a qualified Social Worker.
