The Benefits Service is part of Exchequer Services and are situated in Municipal Buildings, Huyton. The Team works flexibly between 7am and 7pm with a combination of office based and home working.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Benefit Officer to join our committed and friendly assessment team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will process Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction Claims as well as Discretionary Housing Applications. You will also review existing claims to identify changes.

Claims are verified in several ways including customer contact and accessing DWP systems, you must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

You must be able to demonstrate a good level of literacy and numeracy skills
