Our Team:

Join our dedicated Electoral Services team as an Administrative Officer, providing vital support to the Returning Officer and Electoral Registration Officer. You’ll work closely with a collaborative group focused on preparing the Electoral Register and ensuring the smooth running of elections. If you thrive in a team environment and want to contribute to the democratic process through excellent administrative support, this role is for you.

32 hours per week - working pattern to be discussed at interview

Your Contributions:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including English and Maths, is required.
  • You will provide administrative support for the preparation and maintenance of the Electoral Register and election processes, including data entry, financial transactions, and managing correspondence.
  • Be able to organise and coordinate meetings, training sessions, and briefing materials, ensuring effective communication and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate manual and computerised systems to ensure up-to-date information is available and accessible.
  • Deliver general administrative duties such as word processing, preparing equipment and stationery for polling stations, and responding to enquiries from the public and other stakeholders.
