Brushwood House (Speke) and Milvina House (Anfield) are both vibrant 60 bed Nursing home providing accommodation, care and support for residents with general Nursing and EMI Nursing assessed needs.

We require Support Workers to join our team to deliver quality care to some of the city’s most vulnerable adults. We are seeking a professional and dedicated individual to join an established team at Liverpool City Council. If you are passionate about making a difference and thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment we want to hear from you.

The Role:

  • The Senior Residential Support Worker will work as part of city-wide team to support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day activities of a nursing home
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker will work flexibly over 7 days, between 8am and 8pm (days) 8pm to 8am (nights) on a rota of shift patterns
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker willprovide cover within the home in the absence of the Manager/ Deputy
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker willsupervise and develop a team of staff including annual appraisals, PRD and supervison
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker will oversee the implementation of care plans
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker willwork in partnership with, or as part of an integrated team
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker willassist the Manager with the preparation of staff rotas and        annual leave
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker willcarry out the administering of medication as and when required
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker willparticipate in multidisciinary team meetings and decision making
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker will establish strong links with other agencies and professionals in order to ensure delivery of safe and effective care
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker will support admissions and discharges into the home
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker willreview and update non clinical care plans
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker will participate in training and supervision sessions in accordance with Liverpool City Council guidelines
  • The Senior Residential Support Worker will carry out all duties in accordance with the City Council policies and procedures, including the promotion of anti-discriminatory practice and equal opportunities
