What We’re Looking For
- Qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Registered Valuer
- Degree or formal qualification in a relevant field
- Proven track record in commercial property management across varied property types
- Strong organisational skills: able to plan, prioritise, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment
- Professional, positive, and solutions‑focused approach
What You’ll Bring
- Confidence in problem ownership and problem solving
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to plan and prioritises own workload in order to achieve property management results
- Ability to meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment, working under to meet objectives and responsive to changing priorities
Key Responsibilities
- Lease renewals, expiries, surrenders, and break options
- Rent review negotiations and granting new leases/tenancies
- Managing service charges and preparing valuations for transactions
- Council asset valuations and marketing property for sale or lease
- Strategic asset management reviews of the property estate
- Contribute to the wider business plans and decisions that affect the City Council
The role will involve the planning, management and implementation of Property and Estate Management Services for a broad range of client partners across the City Council’s Real Estate.
To support the Head of Service in the effective and strategic management of the Council’s Corporate Landlord function, Leasehold and Freehold property portfolio.
