We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join the High Needs Team at Liverpool City Council on a permanent contract. We are looking for a High Needs Support Officer who possess knowledge and experience of key legislation, policy and funding requirements in relation to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. They will also have a high level of literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to interpret reports and calculate the cost of provision using high standards of accuracy.

The Role:

  • The High Needs Support Officer will be responsible for the monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance of Top Up funding to ensure the delivery of value for money services for Liverpool residents
  • The High Needs Support Officer will contribute to the collection and accurate recording of pupil data and information to support the allocation of High Needs Funding
  • The role of the High Needs Support Officer is to ensure that the process for ‘Top-Up’ funding is understood by settings and any other relevant multi-agency professionals
  • The High Needs Support Officer will deal with sensitive, contentious, and complex queries, ensuring the highest quality standards whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • The High Needs Support Officer will work closely with Education colleagues in responding to requests for additional support from settings including the monitoring and reviewing of funding
