The role:
Are you passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children and young people with vision impairment? Liverpool City Council is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Teacher to join our dynamic team supporting children and young people with vision impairments across the city.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a role that transforms lives, helping children and young people achieve their full potential through tailored educational support. You will play a vital part in ensuring inclusive education and empowering learners to thrive.
We welcome applications from:
- Qualified Teachers with QTVI status (Qualified Teacher of CYP with Vision Impairment), or
- Qualified Teachers willing to train and gain QTVI status (full support and funding provided for the qualification)

Key responsibilities:
- As a QTVI, you will provide specialist teaching and support to children and young people with vision impairments across a range of educational settings
- The post holder will work collaboratively with schools, families, and multi-agency teams to ensure the best outcomes
- The QTVI will assess needs, adapt curriculum materials, and deliver training to staff to promote inclusive practice
- As a QTVI, you will champion accessibility and independence for learners with vision impairments
