About the Role

This is a chance to join a talented team to deliver Bus Franchising for the Liverpool City Region as a key foundation for our ambition to have a modern, integrated and publicly controlled public transport system.

Bus franchising will give the city region greater control over fares, routes and timetables and allow services to be better integrated with the wider transport system.

This role has been established to provide focused expertise, coordination and delivery of social value activity within the Bus Franchising Programme. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring social value is understood, embedded and prioritised throughout procurement and delivery. Acting as a subject matter expert, they will work closely with colleagues, bidders and stakeholders to identify opportunities, shape requirements, support evaluation, and ensure Social Value commitments are effectively monitored and reported.

This is a fixed term role until 30/04/2027.


About the person 

We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding experience of Social Value, its importance and how it can be embedded through procurement and delivery.  You will have a proven track record in working in a specialist or advisory capacity, providing guidance for colleagues and stakeholders. You will be experienced in working with external stakeholders and building collaborative relationships You’ll excel when it comes to attention to detail and be used to delivering results in a fast-paced environment. All fully complemented by data collection techniques, and monitoring and measuring performance to inform decision making and evaluate impact.

Positivity, along with creative and innovative approaches to problem solving will be second nature to you and you will be skilled at translating ideas into practice.
