About the Role

An exciting 12-month fixed term opportunity has arisen within our Strategic Development and Inclusion Team for the role of Strategy Development Officer.

This role sits at the heart of our Corporate Development function, supporting work across Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Social Value, Human Resources, Learning & Organisational Development, Talent Management and Health & Safety.

As a Strategy Development Officer, you will help shape and deliver the organisation’s new Equality Strategy and People Strategy, working with colleagues from across the Combined Authority and with external partners. You’ll play a key role in coordinating projects, preparing documentation, organising engagement activities and ensuring our strategic work stays on track.

You’ll be supported every step of the way, gaining hands-on experience that will build your confidence and develop skills in project coordination, stakeholder engagement and strategic writing. Whether you’re looking to develop your experience or aiming to progress in strategy, HR, EDI or organisational development, this role offers a brilliant platform to grow.

As part of the team, your work could include:

  • •Maintaining governance documentation and project plans
  • •Drafting strategy content, briefing papers and presentations
  • •Liaising with colleagues to gather insights and feedback
  • •Ensuring alignment with EDI and people related commitments‑related commitments
