Our Team:
The adult safeguarding team is a small friendly team made up of social workers, safeguarding support officer and admin staff. The main duty of the team is to take receipt of the safeguarding referrals submitted to the local authority, assessing risk, implementing interim safeguarding measures before making a decision around next steps. In addition to this, social workers within the team hold a small case of complex s42 enquiries. We work closely with partner agencies and safeguarding leads. We represent adult social care and several case conferences such as MARAC and MAPPA.
We are looking for an Experienced Social worker to join this team and you must have completed ASYE and have post qualifying experience. This experience be reflected with a higher starting salary scale point within that advertised.
Hours: 37 per week
Your Contributions:
- The Successful completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) - Subsequent post qualifying experience in an adult social care field.
- To take receipt of safeguarding concerns, assess the risk, agree interim measures and agree next steps in relation to adult safeguarding enquiries
- A good knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation
- Liaise and negotiate with other professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies to gather information relevant to assessing risk and planning for next steps
- Maintain and update appropriate records of work undertaken and carry out required administrative procedures within the designated timescales.
