Due to further expansion of Newfield School with new site opening in Litherland (ex Hatton Hill infants site) September 2026; we are seeking to appoint experienced and inspiring teachers for our school sites. We currently have school sites in Thornton with a primary school in Birkdale. .

Litherland will be a brand new site for up to 45 children who have special educational needs of SEMH in the first instance.  Following the success at Birkdale the Local Authority have tasked us with the opening of this third site which is a very exciting opportunity for us. Candidates must have flexibility to work across the three sites if required at times. School information can be found on our school website www.newfieldschool.co.uk 

Experience with special needs educational needs pupils and practice is desirable, but not essential.

The successful candidates will be joining a highly supportive and successful school and we welcome school visits to our school as listed below.

All candidates will be subject an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.  Posts will be due to start in either June 2026 or September 2026; this is based on internal applications.  Posts are full time, (five days per week) on a term time only basis, with five additional school INSET days.

Showrounds at Edge Lane site will take place on Wednesday 11th of March at 3pm (please contact school to book a visit)

Closing date is at 12.00 o'clock on Thursday 12th of March 2026

Interviews will take place week beginning 16th of March (date and times to be confirmed)
