Senior ICT Technician
About the Role:
The Senior ICT role is responsible for supporting the delivery of ICT activity and effectively contributing to the development of appropriate project strategy. Engaging with users to assist in the undertaking of business requirement assessments and delivery of service improvement. The post is based within the HR/Payroll system support team which is part of Finance Directorate. The role supports the work of the Principal ICT Technician and HR System Team Leader, it also involves developing detailed reports to support HR/Payroll colleagues and wider Council Directorates, primary responsibilities will be to support in driving development of the core solution and supporting in the development of core reporting solutions such as Power BI.
About the Candidate
We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and customer-focused team player to join our ICT Digital Team. You will help manage HR/Payroll digital systems while supporting the development of new automation solutions and enhancements to existing processes. Experience in report writing and/or SQL would be highly advantageous. You will collaborate across council services working to modernise solutions and processes through automation. You will be required to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, supporting HR/Payroll colleagues with system issues and faults. The ability to work on your own initiative whilst also collaborating effectively as part of a team is key.
