Full time Permanent from September 2026

Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced and positive team player from September 2026 with skills in Upper Key Stage Two. The successful applicant will join us at an exciting time, as we develop our outdoor curriculum and SEND provision to meet the needs of all of our children so they may grow and flourish.

The successful candidate should be an outstanding Upper Key Stage 2 practitioner with a track record of raising attainment in year 5 and/or year 6, with excellent skills in classroom and behaviour management. They should be able to demonstrate strong subject knowledge – with particular strengths in English and Maths. They will work flexibly and positively as part of the whole school family and with Senior Leaders to contribute to the school’s vision, in a nurturing and welcoming environment where our Christian values guide all that we do.

Christ Church CE Primary School is a constantly evolving school where children and staff are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential; staff are encouraged and supported to develop their continuous professional development and take opportunities to progress their teaching practice and leadership skills.

We are looking for an exceptional, experienced teacher who is/has:

  • Committed to supporting our Christian ethos
  • Experience of teaching in Upper KS2
  • Ability to teach to the highest standards with strengths in English and Maths
  • Effectively prepare pupils for SATs, using data to inform teaching and targeted interventions
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Experience of adapting the curriculum for all learners including those with SEND
  • Experience of leading a subject successfully in order to improve the curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding pupil progress and attainment
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to raising standards further
  • High expectations of themselves and pupils
  • Able to offer talents which will contribute to our vibrant and welcoming school
