About the Role

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) is seeking to recruit a Housing Retrofit Officer to support evolving policy, targets and funded projects as part of nationwide Government initiatives, and the ambitious LCRCA Corporate Plan.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who has solid experience within housing decarbonisation and retrofit. We are looking for someone with a working knowledge of public sector governance, accustomed to developing multiple collaborative stakeholder relationships and working with grant funding agreements, parameters and associated reporting, to help shape outcomes to meet the needs of Liverpool City Region.
About the person
Essential skills and knowledge for this role:
- Subject Relevant Degree or equivalent extensive experience within housing retrofit
- Continued Professional Development accreditation related to Energy / Decarbonisation / Retrofit e.g. NEA) with certification evidence
- Relevant professional experience within the housing retrofit industry
- Experience of engaging with different funders and / or reporting on public funding, financials and programme objectives
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of housing retrofit key messages and experience of communicating these
- Understanding of the public sector role in delivering housing retrofit and ability to develop and co-ordinate intelligence and data to inform housing retrofit strategy, policy and project development
- Experience of project planning - with the ability to establish priorities, project plan and drive delivery to meet time and budget
- Experience of developing good working relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners to persuade, negotiate and influence
- Good written and oral presentation skills with ability to present complex ideas in a clear way and good experience of presenting reports and briefings
- Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, Co-Pilot and collaborative working IT solutions (eg SharePoint, Teams)
