Sherdley Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative EYFS Class Teacher to join our friendly and committed team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment where professional development is encouraged, and every child is valued.
Required for September 2026 - we are looking for an outstanding teacher with several years’ experience and a proven track record of raising attainment to join our wonderful school. We are looking for a teacher who has the enthusiasm to ‘make a difference’ in the lives and learning of all our children in school; this post is temporary in the first instance and the position will likely be in our EYFS Reception, so experience of this is desirable. We will be looking for candidates who have taught in a variety of age phases, and who have the skills and knowledge to be adaptable. It is essential that candidates specify their curriculum strengths within their application. ECTs are welcome to apply for the post if their placements have given them sufficient experience within the Early Years.
We are looking for someone who:
- Be very clear about their school experience and their subject strengths
- Be an excellent, experienced classroom practitioner, who has a thorough working knowledge of the curriculum across a variety of age phases
- Demonstrate high expectations for all pupils, including key groups such as PPG, SEN
- Promote outstanding behaviour for learning
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management strategies and outstanding pastoral care
- Use effectively a wide range of creative approaches to the delivery of the curriculum
- Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school community, including after-school clubs/activities.
