We are a one form entry Church of England voluntary aided primary school, serving the parish of St. Peter’s Church and providing a Christian education for those who choose it. The Governors of St Peter’s C.E. Primary School are excited to welcome a dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support a reception child who has significant medical and physical needs. This temporary post is linked to funding and will continue for as long as the child attends St Peters School.
In this role, you will collaborate with the teacher to enhance the learning and development of this pupil. You will promote independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion, supporting in accessing the Early Years curriculum, engaging in adaptive learning activities, and achieving milestones. Candidates should be prepared to assist with daily personal care and medical needs in accordance with school policies and care plans. Support may be required in a small group setting, within the whole class and often on a one-to-one basis.
