Residential Support Worker

Are you passionate about supporting children with disabilities to have positive experiences, develop independence and achieve their full potential?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Fullerton Grove, our residential short break service for children with disabilities, complex health needs and additional support needs.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, child-centred care within a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment. You will work alongside families and partner agencies to support children's wellbeing, participation and development through trauma-informed, relationship-based and therapeutic practice. 

The role involves supporting children with a range of care needs including personal care, moving and handling, medication administration and healthcare support, alongside promoting play, activities and positive experiences. 

We are looking for individuals who:

‣ Have experience of supporting children with disabilities and additional needs.

‣ Can build positive and trusting relationships with children and families.

‣ Understand safeguarding responsibilities and child-centred practice.

‣ Are committed to promoting children's rights, dignity and wellbeing. 

‣ Can work flexibly as part of a rota covering evenings and weekends.

At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working.  For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time. This post is on-site only.
