Join Volair to coordinate, develop, and deliver our high-quality Swim Scheme programme. This role perfectly balances hands-on swimming instruction with first-line team supervision. Working closely with the Facility Manager, you will drive lesson participation, and ensure every customer enjoys a safe, exceptional experience.

 

Role Purpose

 

As a Swimming Coordinator, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of Volair’s Swim Scheme. You will balance hands-on swimming instruction with first-line supervisory duties. Working closely with the team, you will drive participation and lead a dedicated team of swimming teachers to ensure every customer has an exceptional experience.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate all Swim Scheme areas, including community lessons, school groups, clubs, and holiday activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and induct swimming teachers. Monitor teaching standards and support staff recruitment and development.
  • Coordinate lesson planning, waiting lists, staff cover, and award scheme stock levels. Assist with business performance reporting.
  • Deliver engaging, structured lessons. Assess pupil progress against Volair criteria and provide clear feedback.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to pool safety operating procedures, safeguarding policies, and Swim Code of Ethics.

 

Qualifications & Training

 

  • Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Evidence of other relevant CPD training in aquatics.
  • Willingness to undertake further training as required by the business.
