Level 3 Teaching Assistant 
30.5 hours per week | Permanent (subject to 6-month probation)
Salary: NJC Local Government Pay Band E (Scale Points 7–11)

Working Hours:
8:45am – 3:15pm daily (including break and lunchtime support), with an 8:15am start each Monday for staff briefing.

Freshfield Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated, experienced, and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a background in healthcare, nursing, or medical support. This permanent role involves providing high-quality 1:1 support for individual children with Special Educational Needs and medical conditions, as well as delivering key medical and care support across the broader school community.

The successful candidate will:
Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Hold relevant qualifications or background experience in nursing, healthcare, or medical support.
Have proven experience providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN and managing complex care or medical needs.
Be confident in supporting individual children while also assisting with medical and healthcare needs across the wider school.
Be skilled in planning and delivering interventions independently, including managing personalised 1:1 educational and care programmes.
Have experience providing specialist support, monitoring progress, managing healthcare/intervention plans, and adapting programmes to meet individual needs.
Be willing to undertake additional specialist training to further develop skills and meet specific medical or care requirements.
Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and a genuine commitment to inclusive practice.
Hold high expectations for themselves and the children they support.
Be passionate, conscientious, and hardworking.
Uphold and actively promote the school’s ethos, values, and aims.
