Family Worker (Domestic Abuse) - 6 month fixed term contract
We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Family Worker (Domestic Abuse) to join our team to support adults, children, and families affected by domestic abuse. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with families, helping them to increase safety, reduce risk, recover from trauma, and build positive futures. You will work alongside partner agencies to ensure victims receive coordinated, person-centred support that addresses individual needs.

About the Role:
As a Family Worker (Domestic Abuse), you will provide specialist support to families experiencing domestic abuse. You will assess risk, develop safety plans, and deliver practical and emotional support to help families move forward safely. You will work closely with children's services, schools, housing providers, health services, police, and other partner agencies to ensure a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
About the Candidate:
We are looking for someone who has experience supporting adults, children, or families experiencing domestic abuse. You will have knowledge of domestic abuse, coercive control, trauma, and their impact on families with an understanding of safeguarding legislation and child protection procedures. You will be experienced in completing risk assessments and support plans. With the ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment, you’ll possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload is essential.
As part of this role, you will have access to a vehicle with the ability to travel across the service area, where required.
