Casual Home Tutor
There has never been a more exciting time to join Halton Borough Council. We are currenlty hoping to recruitment a number of Casual Tutors.
About the role / service
This role is to deliver tuition for children and young people who are unable to attend school due to their health needs, in a variety of settings including Daresbury hotel, the tuition centre at Grangeway and other venues across Halton.
About you
You must have qualified teacher status, primary or secondary maths, science or English and a current knowledge of national curriculum in a particular age range or subject area. You should also have an ability to differentiate appropriately to meet the individual needs of all pupils and to work with children at all levels taking into account individual need including the ability/willingness to engage with at times difficult to reach children and young people
Good time management and organisational skills are essential along with excellent communication skills and an ability to work flexibly as part of a multi-agency team, as well as individually.
The role will involve regular travel across the borough . Therefore, the post holder must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle. Where necessary, reasonable adjustments will be made in accordance with the Equality Act.
