The Mersey Gateway Project is £1.8b Public Private Partnership infrastructure project operating a six lane Toll bridge over the River Mersey, monthly vehicle crossings exceed 2m and annual revenue of £60m.
MGCB, a SPV and wholly owned subsidiary of HBC appointed to manage the maintenance & operation of the Mersey Gateway Project, is seeking to appoint a new independent Non-executive Director, who will provide oversight, advice and support to both the Managing Director and the Board of Directors.
The successful candidate is expected to focus on Board matters and not stray into ‘executive direction’, thus providing an independent view of the company that is removed from day-to-day running.
You will have a significant track record in senior leadership roles in the private or public sector, including experience in one or more of the following sectors: infrastructure, construction, commercial or financial.
The non-executive director should bring an independent judgement to bear on issues of strategy, performance and resources including- key appointments and standards of conduct.
The Board of Directors consists of two Executive Directors and four Non-Executive Directors, of which are two are elected Members of Halton Borough Council and two are independent of Halton Borough Council.
