IT Solutions Officer
Role overview:
We are currently looking to recruit a Solutions Officer to join our IT team. We are on a digital transformation journey, migrating systems from our on-prem Data Centres to the cloud, assisting the business by automating processes and increasing integration between systems, and sourcing new IT solutions to meet the needs of our 1100 employees and the people in the City Region.
If you have experience in a wide range of technologies and like to roll your sleeves up and learn new things, this could be the role for you.
Key role and responsibilities:
- •Focus on the transition of IT solutions from design and build phases into an operational environment.
- •Provide expertise to the procurement and selection of IT solutions
- •Be a contributing member of the wider IT Team, transitioning technical aspects of our services.
- •Act as a point of technical excellence within the wider IT team, to lead by example; share knowledge and best practice guidance and help to develop staff and promote succession planning.
- •Provide 3rd line support.
- •Lead UAT for new project implementations.
- •Be a key point of contact between customer departments and third party suppliers.
- •Assist the team in maintaining Cyber Essentials Plus and PCI-DSS Compliance
Required skills and knowledge:
- •Significant experience in an IT technical role.
- •Substantial experience of working in a number of technical areas such as:
- •Proven hands-on technical experience of applications and systems in a Cloud, Server or Desktop environment.
- •Proven experience of delivering 3rd Line IT Support.
- •Knowledge of IT security standards and best practice.
- •Experience of IT Service Management processes.
- •Excellent problem solving, analytical and negotiation skills.
- •Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with demonstratable leadership skills.
- •Determination to deliver and commitment to helping the LCRCA deliver priority projects that enhance the lives of our residents.
- •A commitment to the LCR and an understanding of its stakeholders.
- •An ability to demonstrate our core values, including a commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
- •Experience of contributing to a high-performance culture.
