Class Teacher Full Time (EYFS – Year 6 depending on successful candidate) with a TLR 2 for Mathematics  - Permanent position depending on passing 6-month probationary period.

The Governing body of Springwell Park Primary School wish to appoint an outstanding and inspirational teacher to join our hard working and dedicated team.

We are looking for an innovative and ambitious primary school teacher who demonstrates consistently high standards of teaching and learning who is committed to ensuring the highest standards for all of our pupils.  This role is from September 2024 for one year in the first instance but has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

  • Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school

In addition to carrying out the duties of a class teacher, this post holder would also have a  TLR2 for Mathematics across school.

The successful applicant will;

  • Lead Maths across the whole school
  • Have overall responsibility and accountability for Mathematics ensuring curriculum continuity, consistency and progression
  • Lead regular meetings with appropriate colleagues to support professional development
  • Develop, demonstrate and/or promote teaching and learning activities appropriate to full age and ability range.
  • Be an effective role model for Mathematics in terms of teaching, behaviour and classroom management
  • Be familiar with White Rose Maths
  • Monitor standards including recorded work
  • Drive improvements to ensure our children achieve their full potential in mathematics
  • Be an exemplary mathematics teacher
