Auditor

The Financial Management Service monitors and supports the delivery of the Council’s financial strategy and aims to ensure the effective allocation of the Council’s financial resources to deliver the Council’s vision for Knowsley.

The post holder will carry out a range of internal audit work identified from the Councils annual audit plan which provides assurance on the effectiveness of the Council’s arrangements for risk management, internal control and governance.

Applicants must be AAT qualified, or a qualified graduate or studying for a Professional Audit or Accountancy Qualification (preferably CIPFA). Applicants should have relevant experience to demonstrate that they meet the requirements of the Job Description and Person Specification.
