Regeneration Officer

About the role / service

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Halton to be part of the Regeneration Team working on various innovative regeneration projects across the Borough.

As a key member of the Regeneration Team, the post holder will work closely with the Regeneration Manager to help develop, lead and implement regeneration projects. The post-holder will develop the strategic vision for regeneration and manage projects to bring social, economic, physical, and environmental impacts, in line with the council’s priorities.

We are currently working on projects that will transform the borough, protect and create new jobs, and deliver social value for the communities we serve.  Our regeneration teams get the opportunity to make a real difference and deliver career-enhancing opportunities.

About you

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced project manager, with demonstrable experience of delivering results to achieve sustainable change.

You will need to demonstrate that you have understanding and experience of working to deliver small and large-scale regeneration projects and have worked in a project team moving from initial concepts, through feasibility, design and on to delivery.  Ideally you will have experience of identifying and securing public and private funding and will be confident working within a political environment where the development of positive stakeholder relationships is key to success.

Our work environment is supportive and empowering and one where experience is shared and valued.  We support CPD and like to utilise skills to support newer members of the team to develop and learn.  Working in local government brings a lot of benefits including the opportunity to work flexibly and remote working is also an option for this role.

For an informal discussion about this post, please contact Sara Munikwa (Regeneration Manager) on 0151 511 8496 or Damian Cook Director of Economy, Enterprise and Property on 0151 511 6468

We are actively reviewing applications and keen to invite shortlisted candidates for interview prior to the advert closing. If a suitable candidate is appointed, the role may close early, therefore please do not hesitate to submit your application!

Interviews will be held w/c 16 July
