Courier
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our agile and resourceful team. We are looking for a Courier who enjoys working in a varied and busy environment and has previous office experience. You will be based in an Records Management team providing support to Council services across the Borough.
Working Pattern Monday to Friday Hours 37 hours per week, to cover office hours 9:00am to 5:30 pm on a flexible working pattern
Location: Runcorn based (Picow Farm Road) but must be flexible to work in either Widnes or from home as required
Specific requirements of this post are:
Evaluation and archiving of paper records for retention, storage and destruction.
Some physical lifting and transporting of boxes of records will be required
Some driving of the works van will also be required to assist with the Council’s daily courier service
You will have:
Experience of undertaking a wide range of general office tasks.
Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel
Experience of inputting data into databases
Experience and abilty to work to deadlines
An awareness of maintaining confidentiality in the course of the job
Good oral communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and on your own following set procedures
You will hold a full UK Driving licence and be able to demonstrate a safe and responsible record of driving experience.
