The Role: 

  • We are currently recruiting an experienced social worker to join us our Fostering Service in our Families and Friends Assessment Team. Your role will be to complete SGO / family and friends fostering assessments for court and to present the fostering assessments at the fostering panel   
  • As a social worker you will carry out viability assessments and SGO/family and friends assessments to determine the suitability of family members/friends who are potentially capable of taking on the responsibility of caring for our Liverpool children.
  • You will hold professional responsibility for a caseload of kinship assessments, working within set timescales and court deadlines whilst ensuring the highest quality assessments.
  • You will need to be able to demonstrate that you can work proactively with the allocated children’s social workers and partner agencies in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for our Liverpool children.   .
  • We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated practitioners, who consider themselves organised and resilient, who can effectively balance the demands of completing a number of different assessments simultaneously. The team has a strong and supportive management structure
