Senior Learning Assistant

We are looking to appoint an outstanding SLA level 3 + SEN at Launchpad. We are SEMH provision.
Launchpad Key Stage 3 and Day 6 are part of the Alternative Provision Service. Launchpad Key Stage 3 caters for young people between the ages of 11 and 14. This is a short stay school. Our young people have either been expelled from High School or are receiving support for a variety of needs.
Day 6 Base accommodates young people who are subject to expulsion from school. It is short stay provision. Ages range from 8 to 16.
Our service is rated good by ofsted.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is innovative, inspirational and has the best interests of our young people at heart.
• Is highly motivated with enthusiasm and a strong team ethic.
• Is an excellent communicator and eager to develop their skills.
• Has an understanding of working with pupils who can exhibit challenging behaviours.
The outstanding candidate would be invited to join a strong, supportive team of professionals who are passionate about wanting to make a positive difference to all the children who attend Launchpad.
The role is to support teaching staff and pupils in lessons and to lead small groups in planned intervention. In addition, 1 to 1 support for pupils with identified learning needs and some outreach support in schools.
