If so, we are looking to recruit a Deputy Community Centres Manager, due to a recent restructure. The Community Centre Service now sits within the newly formed Communities Services bringing together the Community Centre Service, Library Service and the Registration Service.

Halton Community Centres provide spaces where people can feel safe and secure, where generations of all ages can meet freely in a public place and where a variety of activities is encouraged and supported. We welcome new and existing customers into our centres.

We are looking for a self-motivated person with a proven track record of administrative and organisational skills. You will support and encourage staff to be the best they can.

The ability to work outside normal office hours, such as early mornings, evenings and weekends is essential for this role.

This role can be physically demanding and may include setting up equipment, lifting and handling as required.

Your work base will be at Upton Community Centre. However, it should be noted that you will work at all Service locations throughout the borough as required, therefore you will need to have the ability to travel between locations.

You will provide managerial support to the Communities Centres Manager and other managers as directed.

You will provide complex and comprehensive advice to service colleagues and customers, promoting informed customer choice, with due regard to the Council’s Customer Care and Equal Opportunities policies.
